16"x16"x1" High Capacity Pleated Carbon Filter 12/Cs

This is an MERV 7 vapor-lock carbon filter as an optional 3rd stage filter for negative air machines, air scrubbers or for your air filtration system. The actual size of the filter is approximately 15 .75" x 15.78 x 0.75".

The air filter has woven activated carbon media for absorption of gases and odors, and is used to reduce airborne odors, vapors or gases (OVG), including volatile organic compounds by chemically bonding the OVG molecules to the surface area of the carbon granules, via a process known as adsorption. The MERV 7 carbon filter also provides a similar level of particulate filtration efficiency as other pleated filters and can be used in place of or in addition to almost any 16"x16'x1 pre-filter or secondary filter. For extra dusty but odorous situation, you may want to use this behind a ring panel filter to maintain cost efficiency.

The manufacturer recommends you change carbon filter every 6 to 12 months under normal operating conditions. For instructions on how to change your air cleaner's filter, please refer to your units Instruction Manual.
